Magma Rod Guide

The Magma Rod is an essential mid-to-late game tool in Fish It. It allows you to fish in Lava, unlocking exclusive fish like the Obsidian Salmon and Magma Eel.

📊 Stats

  • Max Weight: 1200kg (Great for big fish)
  • Luck: +15%
  • Lure Speed: -70% (Very slow, but worth it)
  • Passive: Hit the Heat - Grants a chance to catch fish with the Ember mutation (3x Value).

🌋 How to Obtain (The Orc Quest)

The Magma Rod cannot be bought. You must complete a quest for The Orc in Roslit Bay.

Step 1: Go to Roslit Bay

Travel to Roslit Bay (needs a boat). Head towards the massive Volcano at the back of the island.

Step 2: Find The Orc

Enter the volcano cave. You will see an Orc NPC sitting near the lava pools. Talk to him.

“I’m hungry… bring me a prickly fish.”

Step 3: Catch a Pufferfish

You need to catch a Pufferfish.

  • Location: Roslit Bay (Ocean/Coral Reef).
  • Bait: Seaweed or regular Worm.
  • Rarity: Uncommon.

Step 4: Claim Reward

Bring the Pufferfish back to the Orc. He will eat it (gross) and gift you the Magma Rod.

💡 Tips

  • Use it for Money: The Ember mutation multiplier (3x) makes this rod amazing for farming cash, even outside of lava!
  • Enchant It: Try to get Reliable or Steady to counter the slow lure speed.
