Welcome to the world of Fish It! This fishing simulator RPG offers deep progression, but starting out can be overwhelming. This guide covers everything you need to know to go from a bamboo pole to a deep-sea master.
🏝️ Starting Out: Fisherman Island
Every player begins on Fisherman Island—the tutorial zone where you’ll learn the basics. Here you’ll find:
- Marc’s Rod Shop — Buy your first rod upgrades
- Seth’s Bait Shop — Stock up on worms and dough
- Docks — Access boats to travel to other islands
1. The Basics: Casting & Reeling
Your first tool is the Starter Rod. Walk to the water’s edge and click to cast.
- Casting Bar: Click when the bar is green for a “Perfect Cast” (increases luck).
- Reeling: When a fish bites, a minigame starts. Keep the bar inside the fish icon to reel it in.
2. Selling Your Catch
Once your inventory is full, head to the Merchant NPC near spawn.
- Sell All: Quickly converts fish to Coins.
- Market: Check the trading board for high-value fish like the Golden Koi.
3. Upgrading Your Gear
Don’t hoard your coins! Your priority should be:
- Better Rod: Buy the Fast Rod (4,000 C$) to increase catch speed.
- Backpack: Larger capacity means fewer trips to the merchant.
- Boat: Unlocks access to Kohana Island and the Ocean.
